Project Rameau

QPAC, Brisbane

Presented by Australian Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Dance Company & Queensland Performing Arts Centre

Two of Australia’s greatest ensembles share the stage for the first time in this spectacular production.

A mutual passion for Rameau’s powerful French Baroque dance music sparks this new piece by Rafael Bonachela and Richard Tognetti. Rameau’s flair for rhythm and melody, make this the perfect collaboration for 16 dancers and 22 musicians.

Bonachela’s precise choreography sees the dancers stretched to the limits of their awe-inspiring athleticism while the Australian Chamber Orchestra perform a live on-stage score under the direction of guest violinist, and Vancouver Symphony Orchestra concertmaster, Dale Barltrop.

Project Rameau will be performed for four performances ONLY in Brisbane.

Tickets can be purchased through Australian Chamber Orchestra by becoming a subscriber. Single tickets will go on sale through QPAC from Monday 5 December 2012.
